Players using the Disillusionment Charm can still cast a small variety of spells without becoming noticed by enemies. Players in Hogwarts Legacy still need to be careful while hidden with Disillusionment however, as enemies can still sense your presence, especially if you approach too closely or within their direct field of vision.
If you can cast Disillusionment before entering combat nearby enemies will be completely oblivious to your location, at least for a time. The most powerful use of this spell however has to do with combat and specifically Stealth engagements.
