They were obtained either via aiding or donating to other peoples' Great Buildings. As fair as plundering being easier or faster to obtain blue prints, I have more blue prints than I can use for a long time as well as doubles and triplicates of many GBs.

I also have good friends and guildmates that are active plunderers and we respect each others' preferences. I am in a non-GvG guild and we have members who have never once used military, even on the continent map as they enjoy the trading aspect of the game and negotiate the provinces. I wouldn't do those either because they're "part of the game." Another comment I hear a lot is "This is a war game." I saw FoE advertised as a "City Building" game. There are video games that include rape, stealing cars, etc. Just because something is "built into the game" doesn't necessarily make it right. I realize plundering is built into the game but, for me, it is stealing. Now the subject of plundering will get a shouting match started. I'm not of the "attack everyone" mentality because I have made some good friends in various neighborhoods who have helped with trades, donating to my Great Buildings, some joined my guild, etc. When I PvP I choose the neighbors who have not aided me. After that I aid using Town Hall for neighbors instead of visiting each city. Neighborhoods change every two weeks, sometimes a little and sometimes one finds himself in an entirely new "hood." The day following the neighborhood change (Monday) I aid everyone in my hood. PvP does not damage the military of the city being attacked but it does inflict damage on the attacker's army. I attack (PvP) for the Tower Tournaments to earn medals to purchase expansions. There are threads of debates regarding plundering but I'll start with attacking. And now for a different opinion - I've been playing for almost a year and am in a great guild in three worlds.
